This bird of prey design "Mothering" depicts a mother eagle feeding her young eaglets. Birds of prey rarely attack human beings except when cornered, or possibly to protect their nests. Eagles may live 50 years or more in captivity, which is approximately twice as long as those that survive to adulthood in the wild.

In East Tennessee, we are fortunate to have an eagle sanctuary at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, provided by entertainer Dolly Parton, who was born in Sevier County close to her park in Tennessee.
